Phychem
Phychem is a small, trade only R&D facility operating in Wellingborough Northamptonshire. We have expertise in custom electrode manufacture using zinc, tungsten, thoriated tungsten, titanium, beryllium and a general range of other more commonplace metals.
We are also working on alternative solar cell construction techniques and battery technology geared towards very high cycle life times. Vanadium Redox and an alterntaive design of the humble lead "car battery". These technologies are both viable and cost effective alternatives to the NiFe cell design.
We can provide rotating anode/cathode devices including servo driven rotation of multi-metal electrode spiders or disks. Depending on the size of the vacuum tube, it has been possible to mount the entire control unit inside the tube ensuring a prototype device for your end-user cannot be discreetly reverse engineered.
We do not blow glass on-site but have an excellent local resource to enable the rapid production of custom vacuum tubes. Our largest so far has been a 1000mm x 125mm multi electrode collider, complete with multiple vacuum / gas ports.
